Our first stop was Plaza de la Raza which was pretty uneventful. Then we headed to Self-Help Graphics, more boringness.

Then after hitting up a couple places downtown we headed to the hood. The first stop was Watts Towers. This is where it got interesting. It wasn't anything new to me but Jesse was definitely out of his element. After he dropped of some flyers I made Jesse stand in front of the famous Watts Towers. Anyone who has seen a gangster or cholo flick would recognize this landmark in the ghetto. The area was pretty desolate. There were two kids kicking a basketball back and forth across this empty plaza in front of the towers that couldn't have been older than 7 years old. The little girl was holding the ball when Jesse told her to kick it. The response he got back was not what he was expecting. She yelled to him, "Fuck you white boy." I wasn't quite sure that I had heard her correctly. Shortly there after the little boy said, "It times you go white boy," as we were walking to the car.

Projects in Watts.
After that funny encounter we cruised through Compton to our final destination of The Coliseum.
After this pit stop we were finally on our way home.

Poor Jesse. I guess he learned not talk to people in the ghetto. LOL
