Scholarship review was two weeks ago on March 19th. I pulled the first all-nighter of the semester. I did well in the review and the feedback I received was nothing that I didn't already know. Which I guess is good. I hope I get some money out it. Below is a photo of my table, it was pretty bare compared to my table at the San Diego reivew. As a first term student, we were able to have our entrance portfolio out. I also had my Mexico Journal and my studio lighting portfolio on display. As for my Art Center work I created a small french folded, stab stitched portfolio with process for three of my projects. Those were my collage that I made in Com Design One, the sculpture from materials class and my Design Two book.

Other than that things have been the normal school and little sleep routine. This past weekend I was able to escape Pasadena and homework and head down to San Diego. It was time again for the AIGA's Y Conference. I was lucky to be a part of the planning committee this year. The theme was energy and it was a great conference. Some of the great talks were given by Shel Perkins, Yolanda Santosa, Lorraine Wild, and Nikolai Cornell. I probably don't have to say that Debbie Millman who was the moderator did a fantastic job all weekend long. As always the parties each night were lots of fun. I was able to see a lot of my design friends and make some new ones.
some of those new friends, they also happen to go to Art Center. Ironic to meet them in San Diego
I didn't get to see my family much. Every night I went to my mom's house she was already in bed. Suffice to say I didn't get any home cooked meals either. I was able to see some friends though. It was nice to be home for a little while and not really have to worry about school. I can't wait for the semester to be over and take a trip down to San Diego with some free time.
