Tons of traffic at LAX
Encounter at LAX. I have always seen this thing but seeing it in its surroundings is weird.
AGS on Monday was better than the week before but I am still struggling in this class. I don't know why. I believe I have all the pieces to put together something good. I just can't seem to get over that hurdle. After class I took a nap and woke up and went to AIGA mentorship night.
Tuesday's Font Design class I got a lot done. The font is looking good. Can't wait until it's done.
Wednesday's Info class went well. My project is starting to build steam. Should be interesting as to where it ends up. Business 101 wasn't anything special.
Thursday I just worked from home. Scott was flying in for the weekend from New York. He will be coming back to school next term after being in Europe studying at GRA. Eric was picking him up from the airport. Scott, Eric and Victoria came over and hung out for a while.
Friday's editorial class went well I got some good feedback and the photos I received from Claudia are amazing. Can't wait to get the rest of them. Scott came to class and afterwards him and Eric came over to the house to hang out until dinner time. We were all going out to eat. We ended up at Daisy Mint only after Frank and Brett went to our first choice, only to find that it had closed down.
It was a big group of us tonight. Jesse, Eric, Frank, Brett, Scott, Josh, Cali, Victoria and Roy were all in attendance. It took a while before we could get seated. We hung outside while we waited. After dinner everyone came back to our place and we hung out for most of the night.
Saturday I pretty much worked all day into Sunday. For some reason Sunday night is bike ride night. I went on another bike ride.
Monday's AGS was like the ones before it. After class I went out to lunch with Scott, Eric, Miguel, Andrea and Ivan. We went to Mi Piace. The food was good but the service was soooooo slow. I have been there a handful of times and its always been decently fast. However today is was super slow. Maybe because it was Summer and it was a Monday during lunch but our lunch lasted about two and a half hours. After lunch I went home and passed out. I didn't make it to AIGA Mentorship Night. I instead stayed home and worked.
I decided since I hadn't missed any classes yet that I should take Tuesday off. I worked on getting my stuff together since Wednesday was Scholarship Review.
Wednesday I felt like I should not go to school but I did anyways. I was super tired from working all day Tuesday. I was able to get my stuff set up at South Campus. I then headed back home and took a nap. I woke up with enough time to go to school and get some work done for Info. I had a short meeting with Sean and then was back down to South Campus to pick up my stuff. After that I headed back home. I contemplated not going to class since I was super tired and didn't have my homework done for Business 101. I fought that and got to work quickly doing my homework in about 15 minutes before leaving and getting to class at 7. Class was actually fun today. Petrula put us into groups according to our game pieces. At the beginning of this part of the class Petrula asked us to select a Monopoly game piece, she uses that to assign work Anyways in our groups we had to answer some questions in order to get money. Some groups didn't know all the answers and that gave other groups the chance to steal their money. After class I headed home and was able to relax from a long day. By relaxing I mean homework. I got started right away on what Petrula assigned us for next week. I fixed my resume, wrote a couple cover letters and did some Quicken stuff.
That spilled over into Thursday but I didn't do too much and relaxed since it was super hot.
The heat wave continued throughout the weekend. Friday I decided to skip Editorial even though I was working on it pretty much all day.
Since it was super hot on Saturday I just couldn't work and tried to beat the heat.
Sunday I woke up and got right to work. I need to get over this hump in AGS. Send good vibes my way please.
